This year the Social Responsibility Team at Hamilton West Parish has chosen :
The good work of this group has been carried out throughout Scotland since 1992; making dreams come true for some very special children with life-threatening illnesses. In 2014 it became a registered charity to allow it to help a larger number of children. The charity helps children (and their siblings) going through treatments for serious illnesses by giving them wonderful experiences which will make their lives more bearable during this hard time.
This charity provides a wide range of specialist services for people with dementia and their carers. They offer personalised support services, community activities, information and advice at every stage of the dementia “journey”.
I hope the congregation will feel able to contribute to these excellent causes. Please follow the links to find out more about the work these charities do in the local area and beyond!
